Day 1: ARRIVE IN ISTANBUL/ISTANBUL – CANAKKALE
Arrive in Istanbul. In the morning, depart Istanbul for the Gallipoli peninsula. Here, you will be moved as you visit the WWI battlefields including the Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, ANZAC Cove, Johnston’s Jolly Cemetery, The Nek, trenches and tunnels. (D)
Overnight in Canakkale
Day 2: CANAKKALE – TROY – PERGAMUM – KUSADASI
After breakfast, you depart for Troy, made famous in Homer’s Iliad and because of its Trojan horse. Next stop is Pergamum where you will visit the impressive Acropolis, and the temples and Library that made Pergamum a respected political and cultural centre in Ancient Times. You then head down the coast to Kusadasi. (BD)

Day 3: KUSADASI – EPHESUS – KUSADASI
After breakfast, transport yourself back to life in ancient times today as you stroll the stroll the streets of Ephesus and visit the Temple of Artemis. Try out your singing skills in the well preserved theatre before you continue on to the former Greek village of Sirince, famous for its fruit wines. This afternoon you visit a carpet weaving centre to learn about the dying art of Turkish carpet weaving – how they are made, and the factors that determine their value. (BD).

Day 4: KUSADASI – PAMUKKALE
After breakfast, in the morning, you will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before you commence our drive to Pamukkale – home of the famous white travertines (calcium pools) and the ruins of the ancient Roman spa city of Hierapolis. Here, you will be able to swim over Roman columns in the Cleopatra Antique Pool (entrance extra) and take a dip in the travertine pools, in the thermal water, believed since ancient times to have therapeutic poyours. Day 5: PAMUKKALE – KONYA – CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast, in the morning, you commence your drive along the ancient Silk Road to Cappadocia, stopping to visit the Mevlana Museum in Konya and Sultanhani Caravansary, on the way. You can attend an Optional traditional Turkish folk dance show tonight – this is a great night, and an opportunity not to be missed. (BD)

Day 6: CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast, you spend touring Cappadocia and surrounds. Sights you will see include the Goreme open-air museum and one of the area’s underground cities. You will be amazed by the incredible landscape of this area so have your camera charged and ready to go! (BD)

Day 7: CAPPADOCIA – ANKARA – ISTANBUL/DEPARTURE DAY
After breakfast, you can take an Optional morning flight to Istanbul from Kayseri, Cappadocia. or you can depart for Turkey’s captal, Ankara, where you will visit Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of the Turkey’s founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. You then head back to Istanbul where your tour concludes on arrival. (B)
